Solenoid valve identification
Model:
All Peugeot models with AL4 automatic transmission.
All Peugeot models with AL4 automatic transmission.
Problem:
Open circuit in any of the shift control valves.
Thisis indicated by the transmission being in LIMP HOME MODE.
A transmissionfault warning to the driver.
Fault code stored in the transmission ECU.
Possible Causes:
Bad connection in the ECU connector, badconnection in the gray 33 way connector on the transmission,
break in wire orfaulty valve.
Solution:
Pins in both connectors are removable and can berepaired.
Join broken wires or replace the harness.
Replace faulty shiftvalves.
